Life We Create

Trying to create a good life has never been an easy task at all times but it has always been an amazing experience to remember though. 🙂 And most of the time it turned out to be well worth it even if it has been quite an exhausting challenge. Let’s see what we’ve got here at the beginning of our attempt to create a fun enjoyable high life on a low income now. 🙂

Ok, so here we are with our greatly limited budget trying to make it work and cheering ourselves up… 🙂 And that is not exactly all so easy, I must say, especially if our life used to be at a higher financial level just a short time ago. Naturally, we start searching for some good advice. What do we see and hear around? ‘We see our life through the glasses of the attitude we create. The best things in life are free. Money don’t buy happiness. Change your life, change yourself, you can do it‘… We see phrases and quotes of inspiration like everywhere and every day, all social media, millions of books and thousands of courses and personal trainers claim they will teach us how to improve ourselves and remodel our life fast and easy for it to become a beautiful bouquet of happiness, accomplishments and success. 🙂

Well guess what – they all actually are right even though it sounds a bit annoying! Of course not in every single detail like they advertise – far from it! – and needless to say that there’s no set path to happiness and success – don’t believe anyone who tells you that there is one. But I know for a fact that trying to readjust to your own situation and start working on finding positive moments even in the worst case scenario definitely won’t hurt. On a contrary, just sitting there and complaining about the world being unjust and cruel isn’t gonna make us feel or do any better (even though the world indeed is an unjust and cruel place and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better any time soon)

Anyways, I’m no motivation trainer or anything like that, so I can’t really tell you how you should change your attitudes or selves. The only thing I can share is my own time-proven experience which can be put in one pretty boring and common phrase: WHERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY. It works. It really does. I’m not gonna write a short self-portraying novel here whining about what situations I went through. Neither I will tell how ‘all of a sudden my life has changed marvelously because I’ve started believing in myself or some other unicorns & rainbow miracle happened’, that’s not my story anyways. 🙂

Let’s get more realistic here and imagine a more down-to-earth situation. OK, life has made an unpredictable twist and here you find yourself sitting with your head in your hands and panicky trying to realize that you’re literally broke and can hardly make those both ends meet. Let’s assume you were lucky enough to somehow get that roof over your head and provide for basic necessities, thank goodness. Nonetheless you seriously consider Ramen for some of your meals and opting for walking to work instead of driving – not for that darn healthy lifestyle, but just to save on gas. You’re buying toiletries at the dollar store. You cant remember when you’ve been out for even a Whopper meal. And so on, and so forth, nothing to celebrate at all…  It’s kinda hard to get that hopeful second breath, like all of a sudden jump up all so inspired with a shiny bling in your eyes saying ‘yes I can’ or some other common cliche mantra like they show it in those weight loss TV ads (yeah, right – can I also have a parade band playing at the background for an accomplished visual of a Way-to-Success approach?! LOL)

Nope, it’s no fairy tale or Cinderella-style movie and you will have to create this little world of yours in spite of all disappointment of a low income. This will take a lot of your skills – creativity, strong will, flexible attitude, less pride and more practical action, self-discipline and certain limitations, maximum of optimism and a good deal of courage to face a bunch of hardships and obstacles. You will have to learn to enjoy small things and little detail, you will have to choose lower prices over better quality sometimes and you will most certainly find yourself feeling poor and even cheap, a meanie, penny hoarder, etc. – yup, that will also happen from time to time whether you like it or not, sorry. 🙂
No matter what you do, a bunch of pretty unpleasant thoughts and conclusions will sneak into your mind, can’t avoid that part. You have a choice though – to make them a rare occasion or a permanent condition of your mind.

I’ve chosen trying to be happy and enjoy my life no matter what my bank account says. 🙂 And yes, just like anybody else I don’t lose hope to become much more wealthy one day, I like thinking about how I will buy myself a pair of rose gold diamond earrings and a matching ring!!! 🙂 LOL While the dreams stay lucid, I’m wearing nice circonia fashion jewelry, enjoying the way I look and don’t get too carried away over it – that’s one my ways of creating a comfy image of myself. I create and decorate my home, love my tiny apartment, wild-looking garden, home flowers and pets, and of course my little son is an everyday blessing and my sunshine! 🙂 So, here we go – there are some of my ways of creating my own high life on a low income. 🙂

Hope you will enjoy them and of course your comments are most welcome and appreciated.
